A natural question, especially to those not particularly aware of economic or business topics, is “Why Should I Care?”
The following areas may concern you, and may be especially impacted if/when there is continued economic weakness:
Your Assets (Cash, Real Estate, Stocks, Bonds, etc.)
Your Career – now and in the future
Your Retirement Assets
Your Standard of Living
Any children or relatives and the above
Businesses – success, or lack thereof, now and in the future
As well, there are other important dynamics of which no one seems aware.
At the risk of sounding like a “fearmonger,” the potential impact severe economic weakness can have on the above categories should not be underestimated.
